GOLDEN MILK
PURE ANTINFLAMMATORY
Ingredients
– Turmeric roots fresh or powdered
– Your favorite plant based milk
– Black pepper
– Optional: Agave sirup or dates
You can peel the turmeric roots but you don’t have to.
If so, be careful with everything, from your fingers to the knife, everything near by will turn yellow. Those strains are really hard to wash off, especially on your fingers and nails.
With a hand blender, mix the roots in a litle bit of milk. Add the rest of the milk step by step until you have enough golden milk. I usually use 3cm of roots for two glasses.
Them add some grownded black pepper, it will help the body to activate the antinflammatory properties from the turmeric.
Add a zip of agave sirup of mix in a date or two if the mix is to strong for your taste.
If you are using turmeric powder, mix it in a shaker, it’s faster and less messy.
The most effective way will always be using fresh and raw ingredients, such as the turmeric root, but a good quality organic turmeric powder will do the job. It is preferable to drink a golden milk a day made out of powder, than a freshly blended root once a month.
But if you choose powder, make sure it is organic and high quality.
One of the most damaged ingredients by the food industry are grounded spices. It is one of its easiest scam: mix the original costly spices with other cheap components (not always edible, harmless products) and take the quality to an extreme low level. Furthermore, pesticides and chemicals concentrate in dehydrated and powdered ingredients. So if there is one type of food you should always buy organic, it is spices, especially in powder form.
